Appasamy Pammal Project

For this Appasamy apartment in Pammal, the bedroom had to hold a lot of storage without feeling heavy. The answer was one full-height wardrobe wall in white, broken by a single horizontal band of walnut that lines up with the door frame and the window sill — so the eye reads one calm surface instead of a row of shutters.

Handle-less shutters keep the face of the wardrobe clean, a loft above uses the full ceiling height, and the walnut detail ties the wardrobe to the dark wood door so the room feels designed as one piece.
